What We Treat & How We Treat It

This is not
standard chiropractic.

The spine and the nervous system are not separate. Every pattern of chronic pain, recurring tension, or injury that won't fully heal is a nervous system story — and most chiropractic care never reads that story. At Vigor, it's where we start.

We spend more time with each patient than you're used to. We assess stress patterns alongside structural ones. And we send you home with tools — not just an adjustment — so the work you do in the office actually holds.

Nervous System First
We assess how your nervous system is holding tension before we touch your spine. Most chiropractors never do this.
Stress-Pain Connection
Jaw clenching, headaches, upper trap tension — these are nervous system signals, not just structural problems. We treat them that way.
More Time, Every Visit
No 7-minute in-and-out. We take the time to understand your history, your patterns, and what's actually driving your pain before we adjust anything.
Tools Between Visits
Breathing cues, nervous system education, somatic tools — so the adjustment holds and you're not back in the same dysfunction three weeks later.
Relief For chronic pain, recurring injuries & stress-driven tension
Chiropractic Adjustment
Why you need this
When your spine is restricted, it doesn't just cause pain — it disrupts the signal between your brain and your body. That disruption creates protective muscle guarding, altered movement patterns, and nervous system dysregulation that builds on itself over time.
Adjustments restore the signal. The nervous system gets the message it's safe to release the pattern — and that's when results actually hold.

Soft Tissue & Myofascial Release
Why you need this
Your muscles and fascia hold the history of your stress load — every week you pushed through, every night you didn't recover, every season your body learned to brace. That tissue doesn't release with adjustments alone. It needs direct work.
Fascia responds to nervous system input. Release the tissue and you change the signal; change the signal and the tissue can release. We work both directions.

Graston / IASTM Therapy
Why you need this
Old injuries that "healed" often left scar tissue and adhesions that restrict movement and create chronic compensations. These patterns limit range of motion, alter biomechanics, and force other structures to absorb load they weren't designed for.
Instrument-assisted work breaks down adhesions and resets the proprioceptive input your nervous system is receiving from that area.

Performance For athletes, active patients & anyone whose body needs to keep up with their life
Postural & Movement Analysis
Why you need this
Pain during a lift, a run, or a full day at a desk is rarely the problem — it's the signal that something upstream has broken down. We look at how you actually move: where the compensation patterns are hiding, what your nervous system has learned to protect, and where the load is going wrong.
Movement compensations are nervous system decisions, not structural inevitabilities. Correct the pattern at the source and the pain signal changes.

KinesioTaping / RockTape
Why you need this
Kinesiology tape changes the sensory input your nervous system receives from injured or overloaded tissue. It reduces pain signaling, supports proprioception, and allows movement without the guarding patterns that slow recovery.
This is not a bandage. It's a nervous system communication tool applied to tissue that needs a different message.

Regulation

The adjustment is only
part of the work.

Chiropractic adjusts the structure. But if the nervous system is still running a chronic stress or survival pattern, the structure will pull back into dysfunction — often within days. Regulation is how we change the pattern, not just the position.

Inside every Vigor session: breathing cues that directly activate your vagus nerve, nervous system education so you understand what your body is doing and why, and somatic tools to use between visits. This is what makes results hold.

Vagus Nerve-Targeted Adjustments
Specific cervical and thoracic adjustments that directly influence vagal tone — shifting the nervous system out of chronic fight-or-flight and into a state where it can actually heal.
Breathing & Regulation Education
Every new patient learns the connection between their breathing pattern, their nervous system state, and their pain. This is foundational to why your body holds tension where it does.
Between-Visit Tools
Somatic practices, breathing techniques, and movement cues specific to your nervous system pattern — so you're working with your body between sessions, not just during them.

Pain relief that goes
deeper than
the adjustment.

Most chiropractic care treats where it hurts. At Vigor, we find out why — tracing chronic pain, stress-driven tension, and recurring injury back to the nervous system patterns that are actually driving them.

The Vigor Difference
"I've been where you are. I know what it feels like when your body stops cooperating — and most chiropractic visits only address the surface of it."
Nervous system first. Every assessment begins with how your nervous system is holding tension — not just where your spine is misaligned.
More time than you're used to. No 7-minute in-and-out visits. We take the time to understand your history, your stress patterns, and what's actually driving your pain.
Office or we come to you. In-office at Fastest Labs of Greenville, or mobile visits to your home, office, or worksite.
Chiropractic and nervous system work together. Structural care paired with breathwork, somatic education, and nervous system regulation tools — for results that hold.

The Doctor

Dr. Patrick
Storey, DC

I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas — playing soccer, running cross country, and spending every hour I could outside. Being an athlete early taught me that the body is extraordinary when it's working. When it's not, everything suffers. That curiosity led me to Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, and eventually to Parker University in Dallas where I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic.

Years into practice, I kept seeing the same thing: patients who were doing all the right things — getting adjusted regularly, stretching, exercising — and still returning with the same pain in the same place. The structure was fine. The nervous system wasn't. Their bodies were holding patterns of stress, old injury, and unresolved tension that no adjustment alone was going to change.

I moved to South Carolina, met my wife Gabrielle, and built Vigor from the ground up — because I wanted to practice the way I believe healthcare should work. Taking time. Asking the deeper questions. Connecting the pain to the pattern. I still play pickup soccer, run, and train CrossFit — because I believe in living what I practice.

"I believe the body has the power to heal. What it usually needs isn't more intervention — it needs someone willing to understand what it's actually trying to say."
